As a Florida native, I have spent the majority of my life on the ocean. I’ve always been driven towards kitesurfing, fishing, diving, free diving, snorkeling, surfing and exploring the water of the Turks & Caicos by boat. I first learned how to kiteboard at the age of 12 and have been teaching since 2012.
The people that I’ve connected with and friends I’ve made is what inspires me to continue to grow and improve KiteProvo and SUP Provo. My learning experience was very memorable and I’m grateful to be able to offer this experience to others. I won’t ever forget the excitement I had when I got my first ride. And then the overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when I had my first ‘upwind’ kiting session.
When I was learning to kiteboard 20+ years ago, the kites performed and reacted much differently than today’s kites. It’s been enjoyable to witness and use all the advances in technology as the industry continues to grow. These days, I find I enjoy foil boarding on both kites and wings the most. Kiteboarding and KiteProvo remain a big part of my life and I’m thrilled to be a part of your learning experience.

My very first experience with a kite took place on the Hel Peninsula in Poland. This is where I completed my zero-to-kitesurfer course at the Kite.pl school. From that moment on, my life changed dramatically. I became 100% absorbed and fell in love with kitesurfing. I love extreme sports; that thrill awakens a completely different person in me – ambitious and ready for action.
Sports have been present throughout my entire life; snowboarding, skiing, and windsurfing. I like to be constantly in motion and take on new challenges.
Progress in kitesurfing came quite quickly, so I decided to share this passion with others and completed the IKO level 1 instructor course.
Over the years, I worked at various schools in Poland as well as abroad (for example Zanzibar, Egypt, Dominican Republic, United States), where I constantly deepened my experience as an IKO instructor and School Manager. I am excited to now be part of the Kite Provo team in Turks and Caicos. The flat and shallow water combined with great wind conditions and weather are a perfect opportunity for students to progress at any level.

My first experience with kitesurfing was in Máncora, Peru. I went from zero to hero in the wavy Peruvian pacific ocean. After that I knew everything would be different because I would start living the life that I dreamt as a kid. Went into my first race after a year of kiting and ended up on the podium, that pushed me more on taking it serious and went to Tarifa to get my IKO certification.
From that point on I’ve been teaching around the world in places like Paracas (Peru), Limnos (Greece), Tarifa (Spain), Máncora (Peru), always having fun and good experiences with

Getting KiteSurfing lessons in 2017 was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It sparked a deep connection for wind sports that’s shaped much of my life since.
I grew up in Rhode Island, and took my first lesson on a cold fall day in Cape Cod and was hooked immediately. From then on, I had a stormy day on the water kiting or surfing before attending San Diego State. Here my connection to the ocean grew even stronger.
After teaching in both San Diego and Rhode Island, I got my IKO certification with SurfSchool Castricum, in the Netherlands. I look forward to windy days ahead with KiteProvo and sharing my knowledge with others!

He was also very flexible, adapting the lesson plan to the conditions and to our level, which made the whole experience feel personalized rather than “one size fits all.”
Kite Provo was also great to deal with overall. They were very responsive, super honest, and straightforward about what was realistic for us to achieve. The equipment was high-quality and well maintained, which made a big difference for confidence and safety.
If you’re considering learning wingfoiling or leveling up, I can only recommend them. Huge thanks to Mati. My brother and I are leaving with real skills and a clear plan to keep improving.arsanjea

August 16, 2025Not Worth the Money – Disappointing Family Experience - We booked the mangrove kayak tour for our family of five (with three young children), and unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment and not worth the nearly $500 we spent.
While they did let our toddler ride for free (which we appreciated), the experience itself fell far below expectations. Our guide offered little to no information about the mangroves—aside from stating that they weren’t man-made, which was already obvious. There was barely any wildlife to see: just one turtle’s head from far away and one small fish that we had already seen daily on Grace Bay Beach.
Even though it was just our family and the guide, the whole tour felt rushed. We started late, ended early, and the guide seemed more interested in wrapping things up than engaging with us or the kids.
I had asked in advance if we needed to bring anything and was told the guide would have a small bag with water. That turned out to be untrue. We had left our kids’ water bottles in the car based on that response, and no water was provided—even when the kids asked for it.
Overall, it felt like a missed opportunity on every level: overpriced, uninformative, and poorly organized. Would not recommend this tour, especially for families with young children.Jessica L

The kids ended up going back for privates 2 more days (would have been 3 but there was no wind!) My husband even ended up doing a private with Antek because he was so impressed. All 3 had such a great time. Our biggest regret is not doing lessons the entire week we were in Turks and Caicos. And MY biggest regret is not joining in on the fun. The staff is super friendly. Don't look anywhere else. These folks are the real deal. Also do the Mangrove Tour through Kite Provo. Mark, who is also a kiteboarding instructor, led this tour and it was FANTASTIC!

December 24, 2022Our group had a mixed experience with Kite Provo. The 4 of us were split across two instructors, Alan and Nic. The two folks with Alan had a great time--they... read more thought his instruction was clear, he provided good analogies, and when the kite went in the water, he helped get the kite back up (which was challenging in the limited wind conditions we were facing). They generally had fun. The other two folks struggled significantly more. Nic's instruction was more laissez-faire. He gave high level instructions and we spent 80% of the time with our kite in the water--he'd watch us try again and again with little success to get the kite up out of the water. We ended up ending the 3 hour lesson about an hour early to come back the next day. Overall, I would recommend that people request an experienced instructor and I'd recommend Kite Provo to have people focus on the fun parts of kite surfing before they start teaching the extra-hard parts of it--getting the kite out of the water during low wind. Folks who worked with Alan are interested in returning, the other ones are not.
