I showed up with a few trials under my belt, but had never gotten up. Luckily, I was paired up with Mark as my instructor. He was extremely patient and had a great sense of humor which made every lesson a positive learning experience, with the perfect balance of professionalism and fun.

Mark was eager to share his love for kiting and knows how to get you to fly (even if you lack natural grace and finesse like me). I progressed from face planting to successful waterstarts and riding across the water. He even took some pictures and videos for me so I have proof!

I just can’t recommend Mark enough! He was so easy to get along with and enjoying his company in addition to the instruction took the experience to the highest level. I can't wait to come back!

Both were right there if you had any problems.

By the way, since our family of 8 ranged from my 91 year old mother to 25 year old kids, we stayed at Club Med and had all our meals together. Then with a rental car four of us would drive the 7 minutes to Long Bay for kiting each day. It worked out really well.

He was also very flexible, adapting the lesson plan to the conditions and to our level, which made the whole experience feel personalized rather than “one size fits all.”

Kite Provo was also great to deal with overall. They were very responsive, super honest, and straightforward about what was realistic for us to achieve. The equipment was high-quality and well maintained, which made a big difference for confidence and safety.

If you’re considering learning wingfoiling or leveling up, I can only recommend them. Huge thanks to Mati. My brother and I are leaving with real skills and a clear plan to keep improving.

  Fantastic, Fun, and Successful Kiteboarding Experience for My 3 Sons! - My three sons (ages 24, 23, and 15) had never kiteboarded before and were excited to try. Jay was a phenomenal instructor! Their directions to find their location were precise and made it super easy to get to the lesson. I would highly recommend Kite Provo...they were fantastic, taught them how to kiteboarding quickly and safely, while making them laugh and have fun throughout the lesson!
