  I had 5 two-hour lessons with the Kite Provo team in early December 2021 as a beginner kite boarder. Kite boarding can have a steep learning curve, especially for older... read more guys like me. With their excellent teaching (and a lot of patience), I got up during the 4th session, and look forward to moving beyond beginner stage. I booked my lessons directly with them through their site. Both were right there if you had any problems.

By the way, since our family of 8 ranged from my 91 year old mother to 25 year old kids, we stayed at Club Med and had all our meals together. Then with a rental car four of us would drive the 7 minutes to Long Bay for kiting each day. It worked out really well.

The kids ended up going back for privates 2 more days (would have been 3 but there was no wind!) My husband even ended up doing a private with Antek because he was so impressed. All 3 had such a great time. Our biggest regret is not doing lessons the entire week we were in Turks and Caicos. And MY biggest regret is not joining in on the fun. The staff is super friendly. Don't look anywhere else. These folks are the real deal. Also do the Mangrove Tour through Kite Provo. Mark, who is also a kiteboarding instructor, led this tour and it was FANTASTIC!

Kite Provo was great to work with prior to my arrival on island and Mark was a very informative & patient instructor for this group of 1st timers. This was a great experience & introduction to a fun sport.

We held a sea... read more urchin and live conch. We also learned about the importance and uniqueness of the mangroves. Heads up you can only do tour during high tide, which changes everyday so look at that or call ahead to plan. If you want to take pictures you must act fast and have a waterproof camera or go pro. We would absolutely go again.

Mark made me more confident, and taught me basic skills to get up, and keep moving! He’s patient and personable. You would be remiss if you didn’t request him as your instructor. Don’t forget to kite with conscience.

  Jay was awesome! Really took the time to teach me how to maintain control of the kite under strong wind conditions. I would highly recommend. Shout out to Jerry, too.

  Best experience to see marine life and tour parts of of the mangrove not everyone gets to see. I can only hope to get better at paddle boarding but for... read more a first timer I had a blast! Saw turtles, barracuda, sharks, sea snails, needle fish, and puffer fish. Glad I had a chance to do this.
