What to Expect When Learning to Kiteboard:
There are three primary steps involved with learning to kiteboard. Kite Provo offers lots of different kite lesson structures to assure optimal learning conditions for all learning styles and preferences.
Step 1: Learning to fly the kite. Kite control & power strokes in the water with LEI(leading edge inflatable) kite.
Step 2: Water Starts – Proper body and board positioning combined with the kite movements to get up on the kiteboard.
Step 3: Learning to Ride – Controlling Your Speed, & Learning How to Stay Upwind
Everyone progresses at different rates when learning how to kiteboard. We suggest that you start off with 4 to 5 kite lessons. We can guarantee a professional well thought lesson plan, teaching aids, the newest equipment, & instructors trained in the art of communication. For the very first lesson, we strongly suggest the Fast Track Kiteboarding Lesson. If you prefer to have kite lessons by yourself (one-on-one with an instructor), private kite lessons are available.
